About MuhuruBay A.I.B.Church

Established in 2011, Muhuru Bay Independent Baptist Church serves the lakeside town of Muhuru Bay, with a population of approximately 10,000 people. The church is led by Pastor Kennedy Otieno Owino, assisted by Tom Mboya.

Growth and Outreach
God has richly blessed the ministry in the past year. The congregation has grown from 80 to 120 members, including youth and children. A total of 45 members have been baptized, demonstrating the spiritual impact of the church in the community.
To continue this momentum, the church has organized its members into four evangelistic groups, each with the mission to reach 40 new people by the end of the year.

Current Needs

Though the church is growing, it continues to face significant:
infrastructure challenges:
Permanent church building to replace the temporary structure
Washroom facilities for members
Water connection to serve both the church and the pastor's home
Painting and renovation of the pastor’s house
The church is located on land owned by Antioch Independent Baptist Churches of Kenya (AIBC), but resources are needed to build long-term facilities.
Pastor’s Livelihood
Pastor Kennedy and his family support themselves through small-scale farming and local business ventures. They hope to expand these efforts and eventually build a permanent family home to enhance their living conditions.
A Heart of Gratitude
The entire church and Pastor Kennedy’s family express their heartfelt thanks to all who have supported their ministry—through prayer, encouragement, and giving. This support has enabled them to serve diligently and faithfully.
